How the bind maker works

It writes the one line you paste into the Rust console to craft a whole loadout with a single key. You pick items by name; it looks up the item IDs, does the craft-yield arithmetic, chains the commands, and hands you the finished bind.

Using it, in four steps

  1. Search an item. Type any part of its name — “syringe”, “5.56”, “road sign” — and click the result. All 1,264 items in the game are in the list, searchable by display name or by short name like ammo.rifle.
  2. Set the quantity you actually want. Type the number of items. If the item crafts in batches (pistol bullets come out four per craft, gun powder ten), the tool converts your number into the smallest number of crafts that reaches it, and shows you the real total and the surplus underneath.
  3. Add more items the same way. They chain in the order you add them, which is the order the game will craft them in, so put the thing you need first, first.
  4. Pick a key and copy. The key picker only offers tokens the console accepts, grouped by numpad, function keys, mouse and so on, with an optional modifier for combinations like [leftshift+k]. Press copy, open the console in game with F1, paste, enter.

Three worked examples

A medic key — six syringes and six bandages:

bind numpad2 craft.add 1079279582 6;craft.add -2072273936 6

A stack of rifle ammo. You type 128; the tool writes 43, because 5.56 comes out three per craft and 43 crafts is the first count that reaches 128 (it makes 129):

bind numpad3 craft.add -1211166256 43

A road sign kit — jacket, kilt, boots and coffee can helmet, one press:

bind numpad5 craft.add -2002277461 1;craft.add 1850456855 1;craft.add -1549739227 1;craft.add -803263829 1

There are six more ready-made lines, with the material bill for each, in the loadout bind guide.

What the tool checks, and what it cannot

It doesIt cannot
Look up the numeric item ID, which is never something to type by hand (-1685290200 is buckshot). Know whether you have the blueprint. craft.add respects blueprints, so an unlearned item silently does not queue.
Convert items to crafts using the real yield for each item, and show the surplus. Know which workbench you are standing at. The tool shows each item's required tier; the game enforces it.
Offer only key tokens the console recognises. A misspelled key fails silently in game. Check your boxes. A bind pressed without the materials queues nothing and says nothing — the cost guides are for that.
Run entirely in your browser. No account, no upload, nothing installed. Run without WebGL2. The interface is drawn on a canvas; a very old browser or one with hardware acceleration off will show the fallback text instead.

Common questions

Why did my bind craft ten times what I asked for? You typed a number of items into the console directly, but craft.add counts crafts. Ten gun powder is one craft; ten crafts is a hundred. The tool exists largely to prevent this; the craft yields guide lists all 37 items where it bites.

Does it work on modded or community servers? Binds are client side and the crafting queue is the same one the menu uses, so yes, anywhere crafting works normally. Servers that change recipes or yields will change the quantities you receive, not whether the bind runs.

Where does the bind go once I paste it? Into keys.cfg in the game's cfg folder, alongside every other keybind. It persists across sessions and wipes. Run writecfg in the console to force a save; copy the file to back it up.

How do I change or remove a bind? Bind the key again to replace it. Run bind numpad3 with nothing after it to clear it.

Is the item data current? It is rebuilt from Corrosion Hour and checked against known values; the date of the last refresh ships inside the tool. If a recipe has changed since, the contact page is the fastest way to get it fixed.

What does the site collect? Anonymous usage of the tool, including what goes into binds, with no account and no IP address stored; the privacy page has the full list and a one-line opt-out.

For the console syntax itself — chaining, modifiers, the + and ~ prefixes — see the craft bind guide and binds beyond crafting. Every item in the picker links to its own page with the full recipe, workbench tier and craft time.
